Platform-K

Platform-K is een inclusieve danscompagnie. Naast wekelijkse danstrainingen maken ze professionele dansproducties met dansers met en zonder beperking. 

Platform-K zoekt hoe dansers met een beperking een fundamentele invloed kunnen uitoefenen op de wereld van de hedendaagse dans. Daarmee vullen ze een blinde vlek op in het Vlaamse podiumlandschap. Ondanks de wereldfaam die dansend Vlaanderen geniet, hinken we namelijk achter wanneer het over inclusie gaat. Platform-K neemt het voortouw in een noodzakelijke inhaalbeweging en helpt dansers met een beperking hun eerste stappen naar een professionele danspraktijk te zetten.

How can dancers with a disability fundamentally influence the world of contemporary dance? Despite the world-renowned fame it has achieved, a lack of diversity exists in the performing arts landscape of Flanders. We have some catching up to do, and Platform-K leads the way in this process by helping dancers with a disability take their first steps towards a professional dance practice.
