De Italiaanse Francesca Chiodi Latini is een performer en choreograaf die momenteel gevestigd is in Leuven.
Na haar studies hedendaagse dans in Turijn en Parijs, verhuist ze naar België, waar ze in 2017 afstudeert aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen. Tussen 2017 en 2021 werkt ze als performer mee aan The Sea Within van Voetvolk/Lisbeth Gruwez.
Haar opleiding is steeds verweven met creatieve werkprojecten en persoonlijke choreografische creaties. In Parijs treedt ze op voor Corinne Lanselle in het choreografische concert Room 83 (2013). In 2014 creëert Francesca haar eerste solo PRIMARI. Deze solo wordt gepresenteerd op verschillende festivals in Europa: SOLOCOREOGRAFICO, Turijn (IT), IX FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE SOLOS DE DANçA CONTEMPORANEA, Lissabon (P), DANCE FESTIVAL INGOLSTADT 2014, Ingolstadt (D). Daarna sluit ze zich aan bij Batucada van Marcelo Evelin, te zien in het Kunstenfestivaldesarts 2014. In 2015 engageert ze zich voor het project Atlante del Gesto van Virgilio Sieni Company, uitgevoerd in de Prada Foundation in Milaan (IT). Een jaar later, in 2016 componeert ze haar tweede solo AMARYLLLIS. Met dit werk is ze finaliste van de BCDC Brussels Contemporary Dance Competition. Het concept van haar eerste puur choreografische groepscreatie, JARDIN POILU, heeft ze eerder gepitcht op Roel Verniers Prijs 2017 (in kader van Het TheaterFestival in Brussel). Een eerste versie bracht ze op Bits of Dance in 2020.
Born in Turin, Italy in 1993, Francesca is a performer and choreographer based in Leuven.
After her studies in contemporary dance in Turin and Paris, she moved to Belgium, where she graduated at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in 2017. She performed in The Sea Within of Voetvolk/Lisbeth Gruwez between 2017 and 2021.
Her education has always been intertwined with creative working projects as well as personal choreographic creations. In Paris she performed for Corinne Lanselle in the choreographic concert Room 83 (2013).
