ESINAM & Sibusile Xaba

ESINAM & Sibusile Xaba is een ontmoeting tussen nomadische, rondtrekkende en geestverwante muzikanten. Beide artiesten putten uit hun afkomst: Belgisch-Ghanees en KwaZulu-Natal (Zuid-Afrika). Via een unieke verbinding gebruiken ze op een diep artistiek en spiritueel niveau ritmes en grooves om verhalen naar het publiek te vertalen. Hun vocale zang versterkt de trance met ritmische patronen die ons meevoeren naar melodieën uit zowel de toekomst als het verleden.

Eind april brachten ze hun eerste gezamenlijke album uit, Healing Voices. Het album weerspiegelt hun muzikale inspiratie, die door de aderen van deze twee zeer getalenteerde solo-artiesten stroomt. Beide multi-instrumentalisten creëren verschillende lagen in hun muziek. Elk nummer is een weerspiegeling van hun kruisbestuiving.

Ze zijn muzikaal geïnspireerd door Ghanese Highlife en traditionele songs uit de Zulu- en Ewe-cultuur, maar met een duidelijk eigentijdse interpretatie, waarbij de akoestische sound wordt versterkt door elektronische elementen.
