Vrolijke kamerjazz miniaturen met het plezier van het onbekende
FUR is het Frans-Belgische trio rond klarinettiste en componiste Hélène Duret, samen met Benjamin Sauzereau en Maxime Rouayroux. Hun tweede album Bond is pure jazz, shaken - not stirred.
Onvoorspelbare muzikale verschuivingen, een onwaarschijnlijke mix van stijlen en genres: een opeenvolging van ballads, groovy secties, bluesthema's, hitachtige composities, hypnotiserende, repetitieve motieven en psychedelische kleuren.
Met een scherp oor voor klank en textuur weeft FUR een muzikaal web vol exquise details – compromisloos, mysterieus en met een zintuig voor spanning. Hoewel hun muziek wortelt in de jazz, gebruiken de muzikanten die achtergrond vooral als een vertrekpunt om in het moment te kunnen musiceren - niet als doel op zich.
Dit concert maakt deel uit van de EJN Green Pilot Tour - een initiatief dat duurzame ontwikkeling in de muziekindustrie centraal stelt. De tour doet minstens vier verschillende podia of festivals aan en brengt artiesten en partners uit diverse landen
samen. Met deze aanpak wil KAAP, samen met ons internationale netwerk, bijdragen aan een ecologisch verantwoorde en sociaal duurzame manier van toeren.
Onze inzet gaat verder dan duurzaam touren: we besteden ook aandacht aan materiaalgebruik, catering en logistiek. Jij kunt ook je steentje bijdragen aan een groener concertbezoek - kom met het openbaar vervoer, met de fiets of te voet.

"The Green Touring allowed me to put into practice, at a professional level, the ecological principles that I apply in my daily life. An opportunity for me to finally feel in agreement with my principles. With the satisfaction of feeling that this title and its implementation also awaken the consciences of the audiences who come to discover our work.
In addition to the principles of slow touring, the artistic encounter with See Pole See and Raimond Mägi, working with Charles Gil as tour manager was also a revelation, since music was able to be magnified thanks to his constantly attentive presence. Taking time, detaching oneself from the material, meeting, being respected as an artist, are sure values for the success of a tour. Thus, these values, if they are respected, allow artists to perform the music as its best. And this is what happened in our specific case.
Intensive practice of the instrument, whether personal or on concert tours, is always a huge source of inspiration for solo performance. On this tour, the encounter with the sound of the musicians of See Pole See and Raimond Mägi came to nourish and open the field of possibilities with my instrument. Namely, the link with silence, long notes, sound for sound’s sake. All mixed with the relationship to melodies."
