Een wiegelied voor de moeilijke dingen
Een wiegelied is een zachte vorm waarin moeilijke dingen kunnen worden uitgesproken, een liefdevolle handeling die ons helpt omarmen wat donker of onbekend is. In de solovoorstelling Lullabye brengt choreograaf Anneleen Keppens gedanste, beeldende en gezongen wiegeliederen over de ambivalentie van moederschap en andere vormen van zorg.
De beweging in Lullabye komt voort uit een lichaam dat zorgt. Dit lichaam schommelt tussen dragen en rusten, wiegen en vallen, zingen en grommen. Kracht en kwetsbaarheid verweven zich zo sterk dat ze niet meer van elkaar te onderscheiden zijn.
Via een scenografie die zich ontvouwt tot een plek van rust en ondersteuning, verbeeldt Lullabye een sociaal weefsel waarin de dragers van onze samenleving worden gedragen. De voorstelling verkent de impact van het zorgen op een leven, terwijl ze tegelijk verzacht, troost en verbindt.

A lullaby is a gentle form through which difficult things can be expressed, a loving gesture that helps us embrace what is dark or unknown. In the solo performance Lullabye, Anneleen Keppens dances, embodies and sings lullabies about the ambivalence of motherhood and other care practices.
The movement in Lullabye emerges from a caring body. This body fluctuates between carrying and resting, rocking and falling, singing and growling. Strength and vulnerability are so tightly intertwined that they become impossible to distinguish.
Through a scenography that unfolds as a space of rest and support, Lullabye imagines a social fabric in which those who carry in our society are themselves carried. The performance explores the impact of care on a life, while at the same time softening, comforting and connecting.
