Tijdens haar residentie werkt danseres Bérengère Bodin aan haar voorstelling Une Île: een ode aan onze persoonlijke (wan)klanken die ons maken tot wie we zijn: unieke, fragiele, sublieme, kleine, pathetische, razende en onbeduidende wezens. Nietszeggend op zich en daarom net alles vertegenwoordigend.
Bérengère Bodin maakt parallel carrière als choreografe (A vos souhaits voor Passerelle, Night ButterFly voor Platform K, Une Catastrophe fantastique I, II en III voor Kopergietery) en als danseres/performer (les ballets C de la B, Christophe Marthaler, Kabinet K). In 2021 debuteert ze ook als filmmaker met de kortfilm Au suivant.
Une Île is haar tweede solo waarin ze haar volle gewicht in de schaal wil leggen als danseres, performer, maker en als vrouw. Ze verlaat de vooropgestelde en vastgelegde paden en volgt de weg van het rauwe instinct en de spontane essentie.

During her residency, dancer Bérengère Bodin works on her performance Une Île: an ode to the sounds and dissonances that make us who we are: unique, fragile, sublime, small, pathetic, raging and insignificant creatures. Insignificant in themselves, and in that way, representing everything.
