Davi Pontes is een artiest, choreograaf en onderzoeker. Hij is afgestudeerd in de kunsten aan de Universidade Federal Fluminense en heeft een masterdiploma in de kunsten van dezelfde instelling. Hij studeerde aan de Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo ESMAE (Porto, Portugal). Sinds 2016 heeft hij zijn werk gepresenteerd in kunstgalerijen en nationale en internationale festivals, voornamelijk aan de University of Pennsylvania (VS), My Wild Flag (Stockholm), Pivô (São Paulo), Centro Cultural de Belém (Lissabon), Rua das Gaivotas 6 (Porto), Bienal Sesc de Dança, MITsp – Mostra Internacional de Teatro de São Paulo, Les Urbaines festival (Zwitserland), Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo), Valongo International Image Festival (São Paulo), Itaú Cultural Rumos Program 2021, Panorama Festival (Rio de Janeiro), 5e Itaú Cultural Dance Exhibition (São Paulo), Artfizz – HOA Gallery (VS), en residenties bij ImPulsTanz 2022 [8:tension] Young Choreographers’ Series (Oostenrijk), La Becque (Zwitserland), Pivô Art Research Program, MAM Rio Arts Research Residency Program en Escola Livre de Artes – ELÃ, onder andere. Hij ontving de Young Choreographers' Award van ImPulsTanz in 2022 (Oostenrijk).

Wallace Ferreira is choreograaf, performer en visueel artiest. Hij is afgestudeerd aan de Escola Livre de Artes da Maré (ELÃ) en de Escola de Artes Visuais Parque Lage. Winnaar van de ImPulsTanz – Young Choreographers’ Award 2022, met een residentie in de ImPulsTanz [8:tension] serie, voegde hij zich in 2022 bij de artistieke residentie van Instituto Inclusartiz. Zij ontwikkelen strategieën en choreograferen acties om representaties te ontsnappen. Door ongedisciplineerde praktijken provoceren hun creaties incidenten tussen dans, performance en hedendaagse visuele kunsttalen, waarbij aspecten zoals mimesis, representatie en beeldstudies choreograferen door dissidente lichamen worden toegepast. Gedreven door de uitdagingen van het spanningsveld van het heden, heeft ze haar werk sinds 2018 gepresenteerd in kunstgalerijen en nationale en internationale festivals zoals Tanya Bonakdar Gallery (NY), Panorama Festival, ArtRio, Lateral Roma, HOA ART, Artfizz, Jaqueline Martins Gallery, Les Urbaines (CH), SP-ARTE, Display (CZ), Itaú Cultural, SESC, A GentilCarioca gallery, Despina. Onder haar recentste werken werd de Repertório-trilogie, gerealiseerd in samenwerking met kunstenaar Davi Pontes, gepresenteerd op de VERBO-tentoonstelling in de Vermelho galerij, het internationale beeldfestival van Valongo, de Anita Schwartz art gallery, Frestas – Triennial of the Arts 2020/21 en bij My Wild Flags (SE). Zij regisseerden de film Delirar o racial in samenwerking met kunstenaar Davi Pontes, in opdracht van het Satellite Pivot-programma, 2021. Binnen de Ballroom/Vogue-cultuur ontvingen zij de titel van Empress van Maison Mamba Negra, en traden op in São Paulo, Brasília en Rio de Janeiro.

Davi Pontes is an artist, choreographer, and researcher. Graduated in arts from the Universidade Federal Fluminense and holds a Master's degree in arts from the same institution. He studied at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo ESMAE (Porto, Portugal). Wallace Ferreira is a choreographer, performer, visual artist. Graduated from the Escola Livre de Artes da Maré (ELÃ) and the Escola de Artes Visuais Parque Lage. Winner of the ImPulsTanz – Young Choreographers’ Award 2022, with a residency in the ImPulsTanz [8:tension] series, in 2022 he joined the artistic residency of Instituto Inclusartiz. They build strategies and choreograph actions to escape representations. Through undisciplined practices, their creations provoke accidents between dance, performance, and contemporary visual arts languages, applying aspects such as mimesis, representation, and studies of images choreographed by dissident bodies. Driven by the challenges of tensioning the present, she has presented her works since 2018 in art galleries, national and international festivals such as Tanya Bonakdar Gallery (NY), Panorama Festival, ArtRio, Lateral Roma, HOA ART, Artfizz, Jaqueline Martins Gallery, Les Urbaines(CH), SP- ARTE, Display (CZ), Itaú Cultural, SESC, A GentilCarioca gallery, Despina. Among her most recent works, the Repertório trilogy, realized in partnership with artist Davi Pontes, was presented at the VERBO exhibition at Vermelho gallery, the international image festival of Valongo, Anita Schwartz art gallery, Frestas – Triennial of the Arts 2020/21, and at My Wild Flags (SE). They directed the film Delirar o racial in partnership with artist Davi Pontes, commissioned by the Satellite Pivot program, 2021. Within the Ballroom/Vogue culture, they received the title of Empress of Maison Mamba Negra, acting in São Paulo, Brasília, and Rio de Janeiro.
