ashleyho+domeniknaue is een multimediaal collectief dat performatieve ontmoetingen in het leven roept. Ashley Ho Yuhan en Domenik Naue werken met dans, poëzie, scenografie, grafisch ontwerp en film. Hun formele vorming in dans, een begrensd medium, maakt van hun collectieve praktijk een oefening in het appropriëren van discipines. Door zich niet te beperken in hun medium, weigert hun praktijk eenzijdigheid en eentonigheid.

Ashley Ho Yuhan (1999) is een Singaporese artiest wiens werk zich richt op beweging. Hun werk omvat performance en creatie en strekt zich uit over dans, tekst, beeld, film en geluid. Ashley houdt zich bezig met documentatiepraktijken, traditionele vechtsporten en technologieën van zorgzaamheid. Ashley werkte al samen met Ingrid Berger Myhre, Ula Sickle, Zarah Bracht, David Weber-Krebs, Marjolein Vogels, Coralie Vogelaar, Dunja Jocic, Dario Tortorelli, en Keren Rosenberg. Tijdens hun stage bij Frontier Danceland in 2018 ontstond er ook een samenwerking met Shahar Binyamini en Richard Chappell.

Hun eerste dichtbundel Without Sound Now werd in 2019 door Math Paper Press uitgegeven. 

Ashley wordt ondersteund door het Singapore National Arts Council Scholarship.

Domenik Naue werd geboren in Weimar, Duitsland in 1998. Op 15-jarige leeftijd deed hij in het jeugdtheater ervaring op in acteren, zang en beweging. Hij heeft een achtergrond van 10 jaar in gymnastiek en trainde 7 jaar lang verschillende acrobatische circusdisciplines. Hij schrijft muziek en gedichten die voorkomen in zijn eigen dansstukken en werkte als danser en maker mee in verschillende choreografische werken. Als performer werkte hij al samen met artiesten als Dunja Jocic, Corneliu Ganea, Julio Cesar Iglesias Ungo en Kazue Ikeda.

ashleyho+domeniknaue is a transmedial collective that creates performative encounters. Ashley Ho Yuhan and Domenik Naue work across dance, poetry, scenography, music, graphic design, and film. Trained formally in dance, their work is an exercise in appropriating other disciplines. In leaking across boundaries, their practice refuses singularity. 

Ashley Ho Yuhan (1999) is a Singaporean artist who works from the perspective of movement. Their work involves performing and creating and spans across dance, text, image, film, and sound. Ashley is preoccupied with documenting practices, martial arts and technologies of caring. They have worked with Ingrid Berger Myhre, Ula Sickle, Zarah Bracht, David Weber-Krebs, Marjolein Vogels, Coralie Vogelaar, Dunja Jocic, Dario Tortorelli, and Keren Rosenberg. During their 2018 internship with Frontier Danceland, Ashley also worked with Shahar Binyamini and Richard Chappell.

Their first poetry collection Without Sound Now was published in 2019 by Math Paper Press.

Ashley is supported by the Singapore National Arts Council Scholarship.

Domenik Naue was born in Weimar, Germany in 1998. At the age of 15 he gained stage experience in acting, singing and movement at a youth theatre. He has a physical background in gymnastics of 10 years and trained several acrobatic circus disciplines for more than 7 years. He writes music and poetry which occur in his pieces, and has been participating in several choreographic works as a dancer and co-creator. His experience as a performer includes working with artists such as Dunja Jocic, Corneliu Ganea, Julio Cesar Iglesias Ungo and Kazue Ikeda.
