Brugge wordt een weekend lang de ontmoetingsplek voor dansers en choreografen.
Het festival laat niet alleen dans zien, maar is ook een spannend platform voor dansexpertise. Ook dit jaar delen spelers uit het veld verrassende praktijken tijdens de makersdag, exclusief voor dansers en choreografen.
De eerste gastspreker is choreografe en danseres Briana Ashley Stuart. Zij stelt zich de vraag of zang en lichaamspercussie de wereld kunnen veranderen. Ze vertelt over haar achtergrond in de Afro-Amerikaanse stepping en wat haar ertoe heeft gebracht haar carriere in België voort te zetten. Ze duikt in hoe haar identiteit haar werk heeft bepaald en deelt waar ze in haar praktijk op drempels is gebotst.
Ook Tuur Marinus wordt toegevoegd aan het gesprek en hij brengt ons een combinatie van show & tell...

Our first guest speaker is choreographer and dancer Briana Ashley Stuart. She poses the question whether singing and body percussion can change the world. She talks about her background in Afro-American stepping and what led her to pursue her career in Belgium. She delves into how her identity has shaped her work and shares where she has encountered barriers in her practice.
