NOON is een multidisciplinair collectief dat bevraagt op welke verschillende manieren samenzijn kan ontstaan. Na drie in-situ performatieve installaties en een jaarlang onderzoek naar het immersieve aspect van hun werk, is het nu de tijd voor hun nieuwe project:

Het werk functioneert als een ecosysteem, waarbij de focus wordt gelegd op scenografie en materialiteit. Deze installatie werd ontwikkeld als een variatie rond de logica van schuim. Hij exploreert hoe een ruimte poreus, soms viskeus kan worden, en hoe we allemaal met elkaar zijn verweven. NOON herbergt een wereld van verbintenis, knopen en draden en weeft deze doorheen ruimte, geluid, storytelling en choreografie. Die wereld accentueert ook de vraag van het binaire, zowel in een natuurlijke als in een artificiële context. Met speelsheid en zachtheid poogt het collectief om een installatie te creëren die verschillende soorten ontmoetingen toelaat en de poreusheid van het menselijk bestaan omarmt.
De residentie bij KAAP zal de laatste fase in hun ontwikkelingstraject zijn. Hier zullen ze bekijken hoe de verschillende aspecten van dit werk samenkomen en een eerste installatie voorstellen aan het publiek.

NOON is a multidisciplinary collective that questions different ways in which we can be together.
After three in-situ performative installations and one year of research around the immersive aspect of their work, the group is creating a new work: And now the beginning is somewhere else.
The piece functions as an ecosystem. In it, the scenography and its materiality take a central role. Developed as a variation around the logics of foam, the installation explores how a relational space can become porous, sometimes viscous, and how we are all intermingled. Through space but also through sound, storytelling and choreographic work, NOON harbours a world of interconnections, knots and threads. This world also highlights the question of the binary, both in a natural and an artificial context. With playfulness and softness, the collective intends to create an installation which feeds different kinds of encounters and emphasizes the porosity of human being.
This residency at KAAP will be the last phase in their development trajectory. They will focus on how the different aspects of the work come together and propose a first trajectory for the audience to discover.
